Gather On Sundays

10am: Service + Kids Ministry

Sundays are the primary way that we gather together each week with worship, teaching, and communion.

Free coffee and snacks are available before and after service.

Classes are available for babies–5th grade.

Our Values

  • Worship is at the heart of our identity. We exist as a community of praise, set apart to “proclaim the excellencies of him who has called [us] out of darkness into his marvelous light” (1Pe 2:9). At KXCC, we participate in corporate worship, renewing our connection and commitment to King Jesus and one another as we celebrate the hope that only comes through the good news.

  • “Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ” (Ga 6:2). Jesus’ death on the cross is a singular, unrepeatable event, yet it is also an example his people are called to emulate (Mt 16:24; 1Pe 2:21). Therefore, at KXCC, we aim to conform our hearts and actions to the self-giving love of King Jesus.

  • King Jesus taught his people to call God their Father (Mt 6:6-15) and one another brothers and sisters (Mt 12:46-50). At KXCC, we strive to resist the isolation and individualism of our day by living together as family—loving, forgiving, and caring for one another according to the pattern of the early church.

  • The sign of the kingdom is a table (Isa 25:6-9). As King Jesus welcomes us to share at his table — holy communion — so we share our tables with one another. Having received, we give, extending hospitality to our brothers and sister, to our neighbors, and strangers. The kingdom is extended through the ordinary practice of the table.

  • King Jesus died and rose again to have “the first place in everything” (Co 1:18). His reign is not private but comprehensive and public. We do not compartmentalize his authority to one section of our lives called “religion” or “spirituality.” Instead, we strive to bring the good news to bear on every aspect of our personhood (minds, bodies, souls) and in every facet of life (spiritual, relational, social, etc.).

  • Item descriptionJesus reigns over heaven and earth in “justice and righteousness” (Is 9:7). His kingdom is not of this world, but it is very much concerned with this world. At KXCC, therefore, we work for justice, to serve those in need, to pursue peace, and to defend the life, dignity, and rights of all.

Kids Ministry

Kids are a vital part of our community and are invited to partake in the life of our church! You can learn more here. Each Sunday we offer the following classes for children:

  • Our littlest humans are well taken care of in a nursery setting with toys, books, and music.

  • Our toddlers will be engaged in a lesson each week, complete with activities and music.

  • King’s Cross Community Church has a Sunday school class for kids 7 to 13 years old. It meets every Sunday following congregational worship. The object of the class is to bring the Bible alive and give kids the knowledge and intellectual skills that will guide them to become committed Christians. The class has three areas of reading, instruction, and discussion (with an emphasis on discussion):

    • Knowledge of God--The Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Classes will cover who they are, their characteristics, and our relationship with them;

    • Bible knowledge--The kids will become familiar with Bible navigation, the main theme of the Bible, its authority, authenticity, and relevancy as well as key Bible stories.

    • Living as Christians--This part of the curriculum will cover Christian values, character, our commitment to Christ and others, and our position and hope in Christ.

Community Groups

Community groups are a time of discipleship where we can care for one another and pursue King Jesus together. We gather for dinner, prayer, and a discussion.
