Elijah Family Ministry is a local non-profit run and operated by the members of Community Bible Church in Los Lunas. Our mission is to restore families to wholeness and stability through tutoring, life skill coaching, personal mentorship, family counseling, and community support.
How We Operate
Family Assessment.
A professionally trained social worker will meet with the family for a confidential, in-depth needs assessment to better understand their situation.
Recovery Plan.
Once the family assessment is completed, our team of dedicated and compassionate leaders will develop an individualized plan for comprehensive recovery.
Care.
With a recovery plan in place, our team of trained volunteers will meet with the family to render them the services and care they need.
Who We Serve
Elijah Family Ministry serves the entire family system, not merely individuals. We serve the family system through a supportive, non-shaming, and lovingkindness approach. Although the ministry is open to all families within Valencia County, our focus is to help families who are oppressed, as we are directed our by Lord. Families are not required to be believers, faith based, or attend Community Bible Church to receive our services.

Counseling and Mentorship
Everyone experiences times in life when extra wisdom, guidance, and support is needed. We offer Biblical peer-counseling and mentors who are ready to walk beside you as you seek support and solutions in dealing with the difficulties you are facing.
Tutoring
Education is a key component in opening the door to a fulfilling career and financial stability. Educational assistance is available for learners of all ages, including reading and writing, English language skills, computer skills, and other subject areas.
Resume Building and Job Searching
Finding the right job can be a daunting task, but a well-written resume can help to open doors. We can help you to build a solid resume, explore career areas of interest, and teach you how to utilize community and on-line resources to find employment that will meet the needs of you and your family.
Budgeting
Financial stress impacts everyone in a family. Some of that stress can be alleviated by learning how to create and follow a budget plan. Based on solid Biblical principles, you can learn the Biblical perspective about money, how to reduce debt, and how to create a budget that meets the needs of your family.
Parenting Classes
Raising children is one of the most difficult - and yet most important - responsibilities that parents face. God created the family and designed for it to be a place of love, safety, and refuge for its members. By using Biblical principles, you can learn how to raise your children and create the strong family God intended for you to have.
Bible Studies
Why are we here? What is the purpose of my life? Who is this Jesus, and is He relevant to me today? No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, we are available to help you find answers to your questions through one-on-one or small group Bible studies.
